To be honest I am pretty much resigned to it but you never know how other sides might fuck up. Remember the 2000-2001 season.

I understand everyones wound up but I think its really stupid and unfair to circle out one player and critisize him. Thats pathetic. How one player plays can effect another player and so on. They work as a unit and should be critised like a unit too.

Sorry to say it guys but your lot were one of the shittest outfits we've seen at Layer Rd this year. Yes you had a couple of decent chances but didn't see much passion. How we only scored one I don't really know 8)

I appreciate what your saying but most of on here have seen the games where we've played really well, and we can be a good footballing side. Jamie cureton and lee peacock are brilliant on their day and so are the rest of the team. I think we're too good for league two. You've only seen us play once/twice and thats not really enough to judge us. Even though the obvious thing to do seeming as we're in the position we're in is to say we're crap  :(

Its so annoying watching the team play well. If they WERE crap I would accept it. But that's not the case,

They just don't play as well as they can. At this stage it shouldn't be about passion. It should be about doing everything you can to keep your job. They aren't even doing that.

I think alots happened to us this season. Not making excuses at all because I'm not like that, but we've had alot of players come in and out, financial problems and the sacking of king and other stuff. It will be a relief for all of us when the season is over and we can re build and make a fresh start next season and hopefully start playing like the top of the table team we know we can be. Whether thats in league one or two we just have to get on with it.

We've been told we have looked like a play off chasing team on quite a few occasions by opposite supporters and managers. I could be wrong and this is just the way it looks to me, but out on the town right after a defeat having a laugh and having a drink. They dont seem to care about what went wrong, whether they played well or not. Maybe its a way to forget about the game and they think about it on Monday. I don't know why everyone's saying w're down; whilst I suspect we may have blown our chance to stay up when we were handed it, I look at the League table and still feel that other teams are close enough to stay up.

However, I will say that it is looking difficult.

Well I did go today. I thought that there was a distinct lack of effort, a lack of ambition, and a lack of thought displayed.

For instance, Brown was doing well running at their right back, so why did he not continue to do that, instead of slinging it in from deep towards the end, allowing them to win just about every first time header.

Also, with a low sun shining into the goalies eyes from the right wing late in the second half, why on earth was Shakes not brought on, to get the ball in from that side, with Benjamin (well he must be good for something) charging in at the keeper to make it difficult for him?

As for people blaming the referee, I'm sorry but that sort of thing should be left to idiots like Jose Mourinho, and Andy Robinson. I agree that the officials had an extremely poor game, but that really is no excuse for us not winning. It is just sour grapes. Colchester were at best an average side, and gave us ample opportunity to beat them convincingly... Swindon (Evans being the exception... what a performance!) just didn't look up for doing it.

Saturday convinced me that barring a minor miracle, we are down. Up until Saturday, I believed that we would be OK.

We where down after the forest game. Up until then, the team had belief. That loss killed all belief. It still haunts me now!!

How many points will we need to stay up again?

I reckon if we don't win against Chesterfield on Saturday,  then we are as good as relegated, as the teams above us (except Rotheram) all have a game in hand.  We need 9 points from our next 3 home games to stand any chance

According to the League Paper at the weekend, in the form table (based on last six games) we're 3rd from bottom! On the upside, Chesterfield are 2nd from bottom - so a win this weekend and it could start to look a bit rosier.

Sadly i have to say i agree with the Pie :cry: If we can't beat a Chesterfield side who are on a worse run than ourselves then we are fucked really,there are too many hard games coming up to justify any optimism, as far as i'm concerned anyway.

We have tough games left to play but hopefully Chesterfield will continue their bad form, and who knows, Huddersfield may have altreday had their fate decided by the time we play them in which case they will (presumably) be saving themselves for the play-offs. Its all up in the air at the moment and if a few IFs and BUTs go our way we could get out of it
