Title: Gurney, Jarrett, Pook
Post by: DMR on Wednesday, March 8, 2006, 10:56:22
I sincerely hope these 3 never get anywhere near a Swindon shirt again.

Oh, and Albert, when the ball rolls out of play and you're 2-1 down, you fucking pick it up and get on with it, not ponce off down the wing. Tart.

I thought Pook wasnt actually that bad compared to the others, at least he tried to tackle and burst forward a few times....

He picked the wrong pass, tracked the wrong man and generally did the opposite of what he should've done in every situation... effort yes, much else no.

I think that aside from the odd good game, this season should wrap up Pook's career as a professional footballer.

its been harsh on pook as he's been thrown in at the deep end really,a young pro needs decent players around him to help his development,he aint had that has he.

and also Jarret. When Nicho runs down the left with the ball and looks for support in front of him it indicates you to run into that big open patch of grass in front of you and not stand still with your arms out. fucking sundays league player.

Oh and Gurney, when a player runs past you please try and stay with him and not stop. look round and then decide to trot back just as there second goal goes in you fucking liability.

As for Pook i think he was thrown in at the deep end so did ok for me.

once again Cureton and Peacock worked there socks off.
Peacock is so much better than Fallon. FACT.
i just wish Cureton would tackle a bit more

Albert is useless. Bring back Stroud.

Gurney was at fault for both goals - went to sleep and too slow to react. Just like Ifil but without the pace.

Pook did well considering he needs matches to get really sharp and fit. Benjamin is in the same boat but was lazy.

I thought it was SeanO a yard off the striker who scored their first? If it was Gurney, that makes more sense.

Thing is with Pook, even when he was match fit at the beginnign of the season, he was never at the races and always flagging after 10 minutes.

Pook, Jack Smith, Jarrett, Benjamin and MIGS!!!  All an absolute embarassment.

When I left the CG last night I felt like never setting foot there again.  I wasn't annoyed, just let down and ashamed.

Pook ran his socks of i thought, and did much better than Migzi by far.

Agreed, and you can see he loves the club since he's been supporting the club since he was young.

For the second goal their guy ran from his own penatly box, 3 or even 4 of our players should have stopped him before he even got to Gurney

I am however surprised you didnt blame Ifil for the goals

I think I can honestly say I was disappointed in Gurney, Smith and Migs last night. The rest seemed to do atleast some things right, but when you see your creative midfielder slice a left footed lazy attempt at a clearance straight to the wing you know something's up.
Gurns was off the pace
Smith didn't engage his brain at all

As usual Gurney was shit, but so was the rest of them bar the front 2 of Peacock and Cureton.

What I really think should happen is that Iffy should take an extreme hardline till the end of the season. That be all the players think about is football, whether they are in their free time or not. They get paid the same each week regardless if they are shit or not and it's time they put back something to try and compensate for this utter shit of the past few games. If Iffy can't do or enforce this, then i'm afraid he isn't the man for the job. Yes it may sound harsh but with only two months left of this season surely it's a small sacrifice to make just to stay off the booze and train a little bit harder and put in a 100% effort. Then if we still go down we can say we went down fighting, not like a piss weak shower of guff that we are looking like at the moment.
