Title: Wroughton Post by: Cookie on Monday, February 20, 2006, 20:30:16 I grew up in Wroughton. Lots of pubs but the best one is the Check Inn and that's a trek.
Few scalleys about here and there, a crap chippy, good chinese and an average indian! Title: Wroughton Post by: yeo on Monday, February 20, 2006, 20:31:53 Isnt there a wroughton festival in the Summer where everyone gets pissed on Ciders and fights each other 8)
Title: Wroughton Post by: Sade on Monday, February 20, 2006, 20:34:34 We always come through wroughton on the way to football, It does not look too bad. As you come into wroughton, the first pub on the right looks really nice although I can't remember the name of it. I did'nt think the chippy there was too bad.

Ace...although it will doubtless lose a bit of its separate feel once the Front Garden gets developed.....a walk across the fields for a few beers in Wroughton on a summer night is always a pleasure. Title: Wroughton Post by: Leggett on Monday, February 20, 2006, 20:46:55 apart from the chavvy bits, its nice, mate lives out there, seems ok. and yes, the carnival is where everyone gets pissed and fight, and some guys dressed like KISS play crappy covers. amazing.
Title: Wroughton Post by: yeo on Monday, February 20, 2006, 20:53:20 This Carnival needs to go in my Summer list along with the Running Horse Duck Race.

If its carnival you want, then Pewsey is the best relatively local. Title: Wroughton Post by: yeo on Monday, February 20, 2006, 22:28:28 Do they have Cider and fighting?
Title: Wroughton Post by: Reg Smeeton on Monday, February 20, 2006, 22:41:06 Oh yes....but there are darker more ancient forces at work.

Title: Wroughton Post by: Reeves for King on Tuesday, February 21, 2006, 13:58:57 If you want to feel like your own house is a mansion, go and look round Pewsey.
Title: Wroughton Post by: fatbury on Tuesday, February 21, 2006, 14:02:41 My new job is next to Pewsey (well for 3 weeks anyway)
Title: Wroughton Post by: Reeves for King on Tuesday, February 21, 2006, 14:08:27 Next to Pewsey is fine.
In Pewsey equates to trying to survive in the world's biggest shithole. Title: Wroughton Post by: el duque on Wednesday, February 22, 2006, 17:08:01 The old bit of Wroughton is pleasant. Not so sure about the new bits though. The general rule is that if it's on a slope, it is nice, and if it is not, it is not so nice... with a few exceptions obviously.
