Title: The Official T.E.F. 5th Test Thread Post by: Zurich Red on Friday, January 21, 2005, 13:15:37 I'd like to watch a couple of hours in the pub tomorrow, but other than that I don't might if it rains for the whole five days.
More upset that the Aussies v Windies was rained off with the Aussies in big trouble. Title: The Official T.E.F. 5th Test Thread Post by: Johno on Friday, January 21, 2005, 15:48:24 don't mind if its a draw at all!
Title: The Official T.E.F. 5th Test Thread Post by: sonicyouth on Friday, January 21, 2005, 16:33:55 Bloody annoying, instead of spending the day reformatting and reinstalling my PC whilst watching the cricket I've been bored off my cunt.
Title: The Official T.E.F. 5th Test Thread Post by: Boeta on Friday, January 21, 2005, 16:45:05 Disappointing.
Sounds like Lewie might well get a debut on a wicket that is greener than Robin Hood's hat. Title: The Official T.E.F. 5th Test Thread Post by: blinkpip on Friday, January 21, 2005, 17:42:02 I am glad. Couldn't watch it anyway. Some people have to work. :x

Title: The Official T.E.F. 5th Test Thread Post by: Johno on Saturday, January 22, 2005, 19:58:13 good day in the end for england. 241-9??
Title: The Official T.E.F. 5th Test Thread Post by: Boeta on Saturday, January 22, 2005, 20:04:29 A good day particularly after a disasterous first session, but we still don't know what a good score is. We need Strauss and Trescothick to see off the new ball and if they do then the series should be ours.
Title: The Official T.E.F. 5th Test Thread Post by: Johno on Saturday, January 22, 2005, 20:05:25 yep...tresco will do the job!? :P :-))(
Title: The Official T.E.F. 5th Test Thread Post by: Johno on Sunday, January 23, 2005, 22:03:31 couldn't believe it! bloody strauss runs out trescothick! then strausschucks away his wicket. tresco was on a run, only on 20, but did it very well!

And the two wickets go down pretty nicely as well. All three results are still possible but I'd back us to win this. Flintoff and probably Harmison will be missing the ODI series. We really will miss Freddie's bowling and because of that I reckon we'll lose the series, but it gives KP the chance at 5 which I can't wait to see. Title: The Official T.E.F. 5th Test Thread Post by: DMR on Monday, January 24, 2005, 18:30:47 Geraint Jones played superbly.
We won;t miss Harmy he's been shight Title: The Official T.E.F. 5th Test Thread Post by: Zurich Red on Monday, January 24, 2005, 19:36:23 Can't see any way for SA to win tomorrow. They would need an absolute minimum of 50 overs to bowl England out which leaves them 50 overs or to knock off the deficit and score enough runs for a target - which would require some pretty fast scoring while making sure they don't collapse themselves.
For me it's all down to Kallis - if he goes in the first half hour I can see us knocking them over for under 200 and wrapping up a 3-1 victory. If he sticks around they will be able to hang on for a draw. Title: The Official T.E.F. 5th Test Thread Post by: Boeta on Tuesday, January 25, 2005, 16:09:08 England 2-1 South Africa.
A brilliant series. Shrek, Freddie, Joner (S) and Straussy were all heroes. http://www.stopstart.fsnet.co.uk/smilie/cheers.gif Title: The Official T.E.F. 5th Test Thread Post by: Johno on Tuesday, January 25, 2005, 16:52:10 Quote from: "blinkpip" Bring back Corky, not really. Harminson was under par, but he has had a great year so a bad performance is expected. luckily we hung on!
