Next game im waiting on is L.A Noire from the makers of gta set in 1940s L.A.
Apparantly there using some of the best facial recognition software available. And you play as a ww2 suvivor turned detective so you will be solving murders ect
Noire is being developed by a new Australian team so not really the Rockstar North devs behind GTA. I think the only thing they've done before was work on The Getaway for Sony.

Yup, me too. That should tide me over until the next GTA. Lego Star Wars 2 is pretty good, a bit crazy compared to the others, but pretty good.

A few people have said it's a bit rubbish online. Not had a chance to play it myself yet though.

I must admit that graphically Crysis 2 is no better than the first Crysis or Crysis warhead, I hoped they would have improved it a bit.
Still a good shooter though.

If you like the bioshock games then it's worth hunting down the System Shock games that they rip off badly. System Shock 2 is one of the greatest games ever made, it's stupidly wonderful on every level. Which brings me to a point about games now that graphics have got silly good. Can we have some art direction please? Maybe a blockbuster game which doesn't look like a warzone with a brown filter on it. I bought Ico the other day with money I couldn't really afford. It's an old early PS2 game, but it's better looking than most modern shooters. Not because of any resolution or any of that shit, but because it's got a brilliantly simplified style which ties in with the simple plot, and it doesn't TELL you it, it shows you. It's like somebody learnt something from books and films. It actually goes out of it's way not to tell you. Which is wonderful. Yeah the AI is dodgy and you end up dragging what I can only guess is a retarded princess about, because letting her follow you is foolish. But they speak different languages and learn to trust eachother as they go through the game. It's not as exciting as running over hookers but it's still brilliant. Video games now make more money than Hollywood and their budgets are starting to match. They don't all need to be a Michael Bay movie. (sorry RJack, that wasn't really a reply to you at all)
