im know nothing about caddis, but deffo want us to sign ferry.we can't rely on dougie and prutton to play every week and ferry will push them for a starting place anyway.there were times when ferry struggled physically but at other times he was a potent force for us.using him at the right times will benefit both him and us.

Prutton aint going to be sitting on no bench. He signed because he knows he's going to be playing along side JD week in, week out. |

Could play Ferry, Dougie and Prutts in a little triangle, Dougie Ferry ---Prutts--- JPM--------LW ------Austin------- That way it gives Prutton licence to go forward too. Having just looked at that, that's actually how Spain started last night  |

Whether we get Ferry & Caddis or not, i'm very impressed that we are going after them on permanent deals in the first place, shows that we are intent on building on last season and putting an even better side together.
All the succesful european teams in the world cup have played a 4-2-3-1 formation with 2 holding midfielders, 2 wide players and one in the hole behind the striker so that system would accomodate Ferry, Douglas and Prutton, away from home it could be particularly effective.
Even if we play 4-4-2 we need strength in depth and competition for places to get promotion, it would be great to have the luxury of leaving one of them on the bench.
