I know you're trying to be consistent with your early snap judgment that "he isn't a footballer", but it's making you a look a bit silly when you have to deny all the evidence to avoid giving him any credit.
Anyone can see he was our best player that half.
It's the Johnny Smith thing again isn't it? Some people value pace and control of the football even if the final product isn't great, others can't get past the wasted chances. Obviously if anyone at this level had both sets of skills they wouldn't be here for long.

No complaints from me. It's shocking stuff on a beach.
So far removed from nearly every other Swindon team ive ever watched which at least attempts to play football properly. Not this percentage trash.
I'm not even mad. We don't deserve anything so far.
This. Even the bad L Williams team tried to play football. We were weak and naive sure, but we tried to play the correct way. Watching this is so much worse. Sheridan has either returned our better players or made them more shit, Conroy a fraction of what he looked. Baudry frozen out. Thompson looked great game 1 with 3 assists and now? Even Palmer looked decent when he returned, now can barely play a pass.

I think there was more to work with in J Smith.

I'm not saying he wasn't. He has bags of pace and that alone can create a threat - the problem is he doesn't know how to deliver. Being better than the other 10 tonight does not make him a good 'footballer'.
You don't even give him that much credit though, which is simply unfair.

Poor. Brett Pitman upfront on his own is a joke. Garrick only threat but not getting enough of the ball. Second best all over the park except when Garrick is running at their right back. Can't blame Sheridan for played not being able to control a football. Look a poor side made up of poor footballers. Throw another forward on at least.

I gave Flitcroft pelters for setting us up to play a bit like this - at least he brought in a bunch of cloggers who were suited to it.
Yes. This is a poor mans Flitcroft effort only the players either aren't suited to it, or dont know what they're supposed to be doing. The conspiracy theorist in me also wonders if we've fucked our pitch up on purpose at Sheridan's request. Especially after seeing the excessive pre match watering.

Severe lack of cohesion, understanding and basic football skills from relatively well paid professionals obviously working to instructions I assume. This is us heading for the trapdoor at an amble unless some sort of miracle can be worked by someone.

Does anyone actually have a glimmer of hope that we can turn this around?

Looks unlikely unless we buck up our play this half...a lot.
