bought a sony vaio laptop with wireless connection what the fuck am i supposed to do to get online have turned on the wireless button but nothing has happened help!

I set my wireless conection up in my house. but my dad did most of it. the words  router and no wires spring to mind.

You would needs a wireless access point with a broadband router to access with wireless. For the point I'd recommend d-link:

you can pick them up for £60 if you look around. i had a nightmare setting mine up while the bunch of fuckers that are my housmates decided it would be fun to watch me tear all my hair out. then the fuckers didn't even thank me after hours of stress. i might block their pcs then watch them stress  :twisted:

The wireless stuff built into laptops is only useful out of the box if your in a "hot spot" like macdonalds and other places like that, apart from that you will need a DSL wireless router like above to use it in your home

mine worked for 1 pc, but not for any more. found out this was actually a conflict with the wireless card's software and xp. fucking xp
