Title: Hosted Exchange Post by: sonicyouth on Tuesday, January 21, 2014, 11:59:11 Has anyone used Rackspace or can recommend any other hosted Exchange solutions? They seem much of a muchness but any personal reviews would be appreciated.
Title: Re: Hosted Exchange Post by: Barry Scott on Tuesday, January 21, 2014, 12:44:44 Never used Exchange in my life, but I've heard stories of Rackspace's service slipping and not really being up to par anymore. Liquidweb and KnownHost are great, but I don't know whether they offer Exchange. Can it just be installed on a Windows Server?
Also, just checking WebHostingTalk and there's this offer. (Probably shit I know, but it's cheap.) http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?s=892e944cb86dff789c63b587576cea3b&t=1336328 And this one as well. http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?s=892e944cb86dff789c63b587576cea3b&t=1340580 Title: Re: Hosted Exchange Post by: Sippo on Tuesday, January 21, 2014, 13:34:31 Office 365?
Title: Re: Hosted Exchange Post by: Samdy Gray on Tuesday, January 21, 2014, 14:06:17 We use Office 365.
A techy told me that it's not so easy to deal with if there are issues because the support is only via email. Although, we've had no issues so I can't really comment on the support :) Title: Re: Hosted Exchange Post by: jayohaitchenn on Tuesday, January 21, 2014, 19:30:39 We use Office 365. Title: Re: Hosted Exchange Post by: Samdy Gray on Tuesday, January 21, 2014, 19:58:40 Good point.
I don't know, that's why we employ an IT support company :) Title: Re: Post by: sonicyouth on Tuesday, January 21, 2014, 20:05:25 Rackspace are sorting out a quote. I'll have a look at some of the cheap options on those forums and put those forward as well.
Isn't Office 365 basically just Hotmail as far as email is concerned? Title: Re: Hosted Exchange Post by: Samdy Gray on Tuesday, January 21, 2014, 20:11:29 No, it's hosted exchange with webmail capabilities. We use it with Outlook.
Title: Re: Post by: sonicyouth on Tuesday, January 21, 2014, 20:15:52 Ah right I'll have a look at it properly tomorrow.
Title: Re: Hosted Exchange Post by: Sippo on Tuesday, January 21, 2014, 21:43:09 The thing I like about office 365 is lync. Basically msn messenger with the ability to remote into a users PC.
Title: Re: Hosted Exchange Post by: Gnasher on Tuesday, January 21, 2014, 22:58:22 Vidahost have been very good for us (and others apparently). They do offer Exchange.
