Two players who certainly have talent that would, in the right environment and with the right guidance, flourish. I cannot see the point in the churn. All we do is bring in more free transfers who have potential, ready to be released 1-2 years later having progressively got worse. For every player that improves with us, 5 get worse.

Under this mob we will. We're doomed to get worse every year regardless.

We don’t really seem to develop many permanent players. Out of every permanent signing under Clem only Liam Kinsella started more than 5 games above League Two this season.

That depends who replaces him.  All our defenders have been shit at actual defending to be honest

Big shrug. He was poor this season. Probably because we had no defensive shape, but he was often miles out of position and nowhere near some of the free men often found in our box. I think he’s better than our setup and “coaches” made him look

Agree with this.
Be interesting to see where his next move is - whether it’s up or down

He'll be an utterly outstanding player at a Club that deserves him i.e. isn't a complete and utter train wreck...

FBT was a full back constantly playing out of position, so I’m not surprised with his performances in all honesty.

No chance he drops out the football league in my opinion.

I don’t understand this take at all. We know what FBT’s ceiling is (and it’s good) and he has consistently underperformed in the 2nd half of the season whilst manager by Gunning and Flynn’s kamikaze football before him. Wanting him to go is crackers, as FBT clearly has what it takes with proper management. Look at McCarthy for further proof. Looked a cut above when he came into the side, but once Gunning and co had done the business with him, he plummeted. You could put players that are capable of being in League One winning squads into this management set up and it would make them look average.

It's possible both that he was bad this season and that he'll do better than us for his next club. It reminds me of the L1 relegation season with Prutton, Douglas et al. Loads of those players played at L1 or higher for ages after, but there was just something wrong that year for whatever reason and they all underperformed.
