A chance to maybe see WC star Reza Ghoochanneijhad in action....

Hope he never becomes a household name, wonder what song Charlton fans have for him? Probably best to keep him apart from Yaser, or are they all diplomatically friendly now.

Not one that has ever appeared in 'They Served Us Both', thankfully.

They're taking their time with the official announcement are they not? (Court case blah blah blah)

Using other team sources, this is what we've got thus far (not including U18's).

11 July 2014: Yate Town (a)
12 July 2014: Swindon Supermarine (a)
17 July 2014: Eastleigh (a)
21 July 2014: Southampton (h)
24 July 2014: Bedfont & Feltham (a)

15 July 2014: Fairford Town (a)

Also playing Peterfield Town on the 15th July.

Note the Eastleigh game is 7pm kick off (according to there website)

Swindon Town say they "never confirmed as a friendly" the Charlton game, which is true enough. #cafc still have it listed on their website.

Not a bad line up that, some non leaguers to get us going, then we can rip the piss out of constable, and then finish off by stuffing leeds again

I'll go to the Yate Town game.

I shall be the one full-kitted out, a scarf around my wrist and face, nay, war-paint applied.

Supermarine? Easy to get in or big queues?

I lived in Yate for 10 years. Used to wear my Town shirt out and about and got a few funny looks from the mainly Rovers fans.

Pretty easy to get into. i've not had much of a queue in the last 4 years. The PdC game was a bit crowded but last season was pretty sparse.

Those 'funny looks' are just the natural looks of your average Gashead, right?

My father-in-law managed a shop in Yate for quite a long time and have old college friends who lived in the area so I've been around there a fair bit.... Not my favourite place in the world!

Have to say the fact that Feltham is still on the list post-Jed is something I (probably quite unnecessarily) find a bit worrying. Sure it's just a coincidence and all that, but I'd be mightily relieved if someone could suggest a good reason why we're playing them.
