Who has control over the adverts on this site?

They seem so random.....there are ads for beds, sofas and DIY chains etc. There was one that just popped up called "Local Slags" contact website  Huh?

WTF is going on?

It's targetted advertising based on your online search and browsing history I believe.

I can guarantee that would not have been on my search history, it might be on Juttys now though  Girl Giggle
My search history would consist of tarmac, showers, boilers, holidays etc.  Smiley

Google: Adsense

The ads you see are determined by your own search engine activity. If you've just seen an ad with something to do with local slags, it means you've likely been searching for porn or the services of prostitutes.

I was thinking that...luckily adverts don't pop up for me, no idea why.  One of the best things about the Olympics, was being able to watch lengthy stretches of TV without adverts and indeed often without commentary..I miss that more than the sport.

I await the thread from 4D asking for recommendations on what slag is best, or the best place to get one...

Can you use reconstituted slag on driveways?

Most of the slags i have known have been old boilers who didn't know about showers that got banged on the tarmac whilst on holiday. So 4d that explains the reason you got the advert.

I have seen ads for Swiss Air and Man Utd before.

True story.

When I started to show ads on the site, I wanted to only show them for guests and users with a low post count. As you have a post count indicative of your years, no ads are displayed. Smiley

How are you seeing Ads? Are you not logged in when you see them?
