Great player....sad thing is that his actions are that of a man under pressure. The word is that he didn't touch alcohol as a player....but is drinking shit loads now.
Back to the drawing board for Liverpool i reckon.

Always thought Dalglish was overrated as a manager.
He took over the best team in the country & kept them winning, but as soon as the team started to get old he left. It was then the job of the next manager to dismantle & rebuild the team.
He had success at Blackburn, but by all accounts the hard work was done by the coach Ray Harford. And they were also the first of the big spenders as we saw to our cost, spending a shit load of cash on Duncan Shearer (for just a few weeks).
Every other job he has had, has ultimately been a disaster.
I think it was last week on MOTD where it was stated that Liverpool's points total this season is their worst at this time of the season for 10 years.

Can't stand Dalglish, can't stand Liverpool. Not very keen on Saint Stevie G either or the proffesional Scouse twat Carragher. Happy days.
Don't talk about our next manager like that!

I used to love to watch the Liverpool of Beardsley, Heighway, Barnes etc. That was truly great football. I remember wishing that all the team was English, because they could just play instead of England, and they would be world-beaters. Nothing I've seen from any of the top PL teams now gets anywhere near that level.

Really? What about the couple of years before when they had Tommy Smith, Peter Cormack, Kevin Keegan, John Toshack, Steve Heighway, Sammy Lee and David Fairclough on the bench.

Maybe - Just subjective really isn't it? I think a lot of it depends on your age and when you're at your most impressionable so for me personally it has to be that XI.
