Title: Favourite Pudding Post by: Skinny Pete on Wednesday, July 22, 2015, 15:45:49 Although I love all sorts of sponge puddings, pies and crumbles, the one for me is a lemon meringue with cream.
Got one tonight! Title: Re: Favourite Pudding Post by: bigbobjoylove on Wednesday, July 22, 2015, 15:46:44 Profiteroles with fresh cream.

Title: Re: Favourite Pudding Post by: Skinny Pete on Wednesday, July 22, 2015, 16:01:06 Apart from the usual 'western' countries, do any of our foreign friends 'do' puds?
Those ice creams in Indian restaurants are gobbingly awful Title: Re: Re: Favourite Pudding Post by: sonicyouth on Wednesday, July 22, 2015, 16:02:18 Apart from the usual 'western' countries, do any of our foreign friends 'do' puds? Norwegian (and Swedish) puddings are lushThose ice creams in Indian restaurants are gobbingly awful Anyway, sticky toffee pudding gets my vote Title: Re: Favourite Pudding Post by: horlock07 on Wednesday, July 22, 2015, 16:09:10 I have always loved spotted dick
Title: Re: Favourite Pudding Post by: BambooToTheFuture on Wednesday, July 22, 2015, 16:22:14 A proper Baklava is nice. None of this supermarket bollocks either. Although Lidl do ok Stollen and Panetone (I promise these aren't trialists!).
The poster above said about swedish pudding. Their Almondy type take on cheescake is pretty good. Another great sweet to try is Halva which depending where you are originates in Turkey or Greece. Any British classics are always nice, Eton Mess, Summer Fruit Pudding, Tea Bread, Lardy Cake, Sticky Toffee Pudding with Clotted Cream, but a simple cake I love is Flourless Chocolate and Almond Cake. It just pips Lemon Drizzle and Victoria Sponge. ....and with that list, Mary Berry can eff right off. Ok, so I like cake..... Title: Re: Favourite Pudding Post by: RWB Robin on Wednesday, July 22, 2015, 16:28:20 Treacle pudding, though only made with Lyle's Golden Syrup.....but I would go with Ardiles for a good creme brulee....

Title: Re: Favourite Pudding Post by: Samdy Gray on Wednesday, July 22, 2015, 17:59:28 Asking me to choose my favourite pudding is a lot like asking me which is my favourite child.
It depends on what mood I'm in. Title: Re: Favourite Pudding Post by: Bewster on Wednesday, July 22, 2015, 18:01:37 Cold custard on a hot pudding. Mmmmmmm This Title: Re: Favourite Pudding Post by: Bewster on Wednesday, July 22, 2015, 18:05:17 Depends on my mood, I like a good ice cream (although a good vanilla with smashed malteesers over it suits me fine). If we are talking proper puds then I'm in the sponge corner, treacle, jam, chocolate served hot with cold cream or custard.
