City away was mad on the park behind the ground but that was more like fight or get battered like most I've seen-got caught up in. City chased us up broad street and Oxford went off big time on the grass out the back of the shrivvy road-magic roundabout. Never seen us take the piss though
city away was that the season they went down as I heard many stories of that game and some real big lads having to take cover. Slightly unfair against city as they have so many but then bristol is a big city I can rememnber swindon giving blackburn the run around after a cup game in the 8o's and bristol rovers on a tuesday evening and we had oxfors on the run the nigh that there was a big fire down by the railway station

when? Hundreds? Never saw that myself
Quote from: Topcat on Friday, March 15, 2013, 21:29:55 Anybody remember playing Blackburn in the FA Cup in 1984 when we got beat 2-1 with Jimmy Quinn scoring for the visitors as it got really lively after the game!! Yep, remember it well. Rovers were on the receiving end of some pretty heavy Swindon hospitality. They came looking for it and got more than they bargained for. Nice to know others knew about it

Bournemouth at home was a great game nice and sunny day and town had a real mob at the bank and remember the police escorting a couple of hundred lads back to the town end but that seemed to make litle difference as there were hundreds still massed against the bournemouth fans. Never a 14,300 crowd though more like 20,000+ must have been fiddling the books
