Yep just panned out well for the Saffas over 5 days - although they were clearly much the better team during the test.
Roll on Leeds, happy to lay anyone any money we will level the series (assuming we get 5 days play), because despite what the likes of IOB will doubtless come out with after this result, this England team is class.
Are you still feeling optimistic DMR? One of the great things about test cricket, is that the momentum can change, but we look a busted flush...

Can't afford to make too many errors against good sides.
Finn having two potential wickets ruled out for running into the stumps and Cook dropping a catch in the slips (where Swann would have been) cost us dear in the morning.

so 419 ao and 40 odd for 0 in reply....unless there is a mass batting collapse I can see this heading for a draw due to the wet weekend of weather we have again

The thread title is wrong. It should be the summer of "Cricket" thread.

I know nobody is really watching the Cricket at the moment but KP is currently making pate out of Dale Steyn. Beautiful to watch.

Went yesterday and was a decent days play. Had a pretty good night out in Leeds after too. Would rather be there today though. KP in audacious form and play till half 7. Lucky sods!

I imagine Graham Swann might have the odd thought on that, particularly watching the ball that got the Reindeer out.

Broad on a hatrick and suddenly there's some interest back in this, into the tail with Petersen injured...200 is the lead, 200 in a session would be entertaining.
