Seems likely that Rovers hopes of a new stadium could be up shit creek.

Sainsburys, who were to buy the Memorial Ground thereby funding said stadium, no longer want to buy the site.

Goodnight Irene, indeed!

We sing this at Bath City. :')

We mix it up a bit though... we sing "We're going down to Yeovil to do the bastards over" though.

p.s. I say "we" as I'm a Bathonian and go when I can't go to a Swindon game Wink.

I'd have thought that particular scheme (20,000 capacity?) went down the pan as soon as they dropped off the coupon.

Apparently not. The Wovers board are making chugging noises about they have a cast iron contract for the sale to Sainsburys.

Darlington springs to mind

The Rovers thing has been dragging on for years. One of my best mates is a Rovers fan and his Dad has some small shares/attends the AGMs - they all say Higgs (?) the chairman is a prick and the reason he's pushed so hard for the new ground/sale of the Mem is that he stands to make some money out of it, so he can walk away. That being said, even when everything was passed as go they didn't think they'd get a new ground as they don't have the money.

Looks as though Sainers potentially pulling out confirms what was said. Anyway back to talking about Saturday and the other Wurzels.

hahaha yeah. Anyone from Bath is seemingly a "Bathonian". Much like people from Swindon are "Swindonians".

Yep

Back on the stadium theme, lots of them there Wurzels reckon even with a revamped AG they will still only get around the 12000 mark  if they end up a middling Championship team.
