When Bristol City were wound up in 82, the reformed club should have had to start in the non-league, in the same way that Newport, Wimbledon, Chester, Aldershot have done.

It was around this time that the present pyramid structure of non league football was starting to form, the Conference, was known as the Alliance League....and had Trowbridge Town in it. It wasn't until 86/87 that relegation and promotion happened between the FL and non league.

Under the Alliance, there were the Isthmian League, the Southern League, and the Northern Premier League, which had some sort of developing feeder structure into Alliance.  City 82, should probably have started in the Southern League (Midland Division), where they could have found Cheltenham Town, Forest Green, with derbies provided by Bridgend Town and Merthyr, for traditional Welsh Cup encounters.

Interestingly Milton Keynes City, who were in that League, finished 67 points worse off than Cheltenham, who were on their way to League status by the correct method....MKC, achieved a grand total of 4 points, so they stole a club instead.

City 82, were very, very, lucky to keep their League status...so should really keep their gobs shut.

Spot on, they go on about our financial irregularities and our 2 brushes with administration (not bankruptcy as they had) as if they have never had a similar experience, despite them running absolutely massive losses for this level of football. Losses that they can only financially cope with due to Lansdowns backing.

It is but not entirely unexpected, if true.

Would imagine some City fans would have booked train tickets already and no matter what any of us thinks about them it's just another kick in the nuts for football fans in general.

Nobody gives a flying one about fans

A ploy so Mas can play before hot-footing it to the Aussie training camp...

The move does make sense. It is probably a move 'suggested' by the Police.  After all, it is them that has to sort the little shits out!

3pm last year (both games) and not sure there was any trouble at all. Don't see any reason why it can't be kept that way.
