Yeah, Nemo is right. Without his support the club would have been finished.
RIP.

Why don't you knock it off with them negative waves? Why don't you dig how beautiful it is out here? Why don't you say something righteous and hopeful for a change? Crap!

As others have said he was the money in the background for a bloody long time without which I fear we would have folded, for which he deserves the best wishes of Town fans, albeit his uncanny ability to get involved with dubious characters possibly equally held us back, did he ever extract himself from the advisory clutches of Diamond Mike?

Maybe 83rd minute? Seeing as he obtained the Baronetcy in 1983 and died aged 83...if Town play their first home game on the 12th August this will be exactly a week before it would have been 40yrs of his Baronetcy. If they start at home then their third game of the season {second home league match} would fall on the 19th. Would it not be a nice touch if the club invited James Seton 6th and his family to come to the ground on either of the mentioned days in order to pay tribute to and truly recognise an original saviour of the club? Might go a long way to repairing old wounds and building new relationships. Just a thought mind Sleep well Sir Seton x

A twitter tribute is so classy and fitting for someone who kept the club propped up for yonks

I presumed he meant putting something on the club website as well. A little surprised they haven't, although perhaps they are going to put up a more meaningful obituary for fans to read.

A twitter tribute is so classy and fitting for someone who kept the club propped up for yonks Rock and hard place job (and just another perfect example of the club presently not being able to do right in peoples eyes whatever they do - if they had been silent there would have been complaints about that), he left ages ago after a very sticky period (often self inflicted) under his stewardship, has he had anything to do with the club recently even attending games? I honestly don't know what sort of reception his lad would get if he were invited on the pitch, from recollection he was not highly thought of by the fans so who knows. RIP SSW and I hope something like a longer piece on the website or first programme of next year will calm the masses, doesn't need the club to arrange a minutes applause etc if fans so desire. I presumed he meant putting something on the club website as well. A little surprised they haven't, although perhaps they are going to put up a more meaningful obituary for fans to read.
Writing obituaries is a minefield, I'd rather they took their time to get it accurate and with the right tone rather than rush something out, especially with so many waiting for a mistake.
