He wasn't really in a huge amount of films really, but boy was he in some good uns. Classics. Stir crazy and Hear no evil see no evil probably my two favs. His double act with Richard prior was great.

37 credits according to IMDB. I'd forgotten he was in Bonnie and Clyde.

See No Evil, Hear No Evil and Blazing Saddles are two of my all time favourite films. Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory was excellent too.

Pedant alert.....
Gene Wilder was in Willy Wonka and the chocolate factory, which although a very good film, loses credibility in the scene where Charlie & Grandpa Joe taste some lemonade that they shouldn't. It ruins the concept that he was the only "good boy" who didn't give in to temptation to be rewarded at the end.

blimey, loved Rentaghost. She's at peace with the pantomime horse in the sky now, Timothy Claypole and most of the cast

I only recently discovered that Timothy Claypole died years ago - from bad Aids Rentaghost was up there with some other freaky shit from my childhood.

Loved Rentaghost, but unfortunately hardly any of the cast remain now. All the characters are now dead apart from Sue Nichols (of Corrie fame) I think.
