Any cunts on here thinking about taking Vuvuzelas to the CG this season? PLEASE PLEASE DONT!!!

Do you think we will be plagued by that grotesque noise this season?

Somehow, Im not sure we have heard the back of these horrible noisy attrocities just yet.

If anybody does take one, I'm quite confident they'll get told where to stick it. Don't worry.

I know a lad in Devizes who has got one and intends bringing it to the CG.

Thank God he is in the DRS and I am in the Arkells.

Wide end first.

Im thinking of penning a letter to AF to suggest that he might like to station snipers on the rooves of the DRS and North Stand to pick off any would be wank stains that have audacity to bring one of those abominations in.

I'd find it quite humorous if someone tried taking one in the Town End. It'd either end up on the pitch or down his throat i'm sure.

Some bellend was blaring one out when I took a trip to the Co-op earlier.

Then he is going to become the first person ever raped by his vuvuzela.

Today I have written to AF for his personal assurance they will be banned around the CG next season and to suggest some anti Vuvuzela techniques. I shall inform you of any response if/when it comes.

Surely we can get them banned from the CG simply by letting the Safety Committee lot that used to stop Loud and Proud from bringing in dangerous bits of paper? Vuvuzelas raise a number of Health & Safety and Public Order issues, mainly for the first twat that tries to use one near me

Not to mention something the obvious death risk of tripping up while running and blowing one. I'm surprised H&S even allows them in the country, such is the clear risk of death.

Dear Mr Fitton,

Re: Influx of Vuvuzelas in English Football post World Cup

As you are most probably aware, this summer’s World Cup has seen the arrival of the Vuvuzela onto the football scene. Although I imagine a cult section of fans will embrace the Vuvuzela during the upcoming season, I am confident I speak for the vast majority of Swindon fans when I say that these odious horns will only prove to be an unbearable sufferance if permitted within our football ground.

I am writing to you in order to gain your personal assurance that the County Ground will become a Vuvuzela free zone. You yourself have stated that we should be targeting regular attendances of up to 12,000 fans; I fear this target to be insurmountable if the Vuvuzela is to be allowed into the County Ground. A high volume of fans will no doubt be driven away by one selfish individual’s wish to express their support by making probably the most hateful noise ever associated with football since the infamous John Barnes rap.

I’d like to suggest the placement of Snipers on top of each of the 4 flood light gantries to pick off the offending characters. Alternatively, an offer could be made to Longleat Wildlife Park on a match by match basis. A specially trained predatory animal (a Lion would be my personal preference, but a Leopard would also suffice) could be hired to seek out the woeful drone and deal with the offender as his nature dictates. Another way for offenders to be punished for inflicting the hateful racket and also to deter would be offenders would be to introduce ‘insertion techniques’. Whereby the offender learns a valuable lesson and the Vuvuzela is rendered unfit for its purposes during the process.

I am sure you realise the importance of this issue and I would be extremely grateful if you would raise the matter with Mr Watkins, Mr Wilson and your other associates at the next board meeting.

I’d like to close by extending my gratitude for everything you and your board have done for the Swindon Town. The positive attitude of your board members has been second to none and I speak for many Swindon fans when I say, the board is the best thing that has happened to club in a very long time. Keep up the good work.

Yours Sincerely,

George Brown

Its the certain noise of the Vuvuzela, any other noise clappy or otherwise is fine by me.

I didn't find the clappy things as annoying as any drums/horn/vuvuzela as they were the sound and tone of people clapping, so were barable.

Sounded more like 12000 kids on bikes with a playing card pegged to the back wheel, cycling through the CG to me.

Quote
Southampton have banned vuvuzelas from St Mary's for the forthcoming season.

The club have taken the step to ban the instruments, which rose to prominence during the World Cup in South Africa, following an "influx of requests".

Their decision follows in the footsteps of Championship clubs Ipswich, Cardiff and Leicester, as well as Super League outfit Harlequins.

A club statement said: "The decision to ban them has been made in the interest of everyone's enjoyment."

It added: "Vuvezelas may be part of the tradition of football matches played in South Africa, but they won't become a part of the game at St Mary's this season."

Saints' south coach neighbours Portsmouth and Bournemouth have stopped short of a ban, although Pompey believe the majority of fans will be against the horns.

The Cherries say they will wait for fan reaction before making a decision.

The Football League have told BBC Radio Solent that it is up to individual clubs to decide what policy they adopt.

Lets hope most clubs make the same decision.

I hope we ban them but I can see us selling them, After all AF wanted a drum in the Town End to help improve the atmosphere so the club will no doubt sell them thinking they will improve the atmosphere.

I just hope that if there are some, it'll only be kids in the Arkells family section. They didn't bother me at all on the telly, but having some half-witted cunt blowing one in your ear........well that's just fighting talk.

Macclesfield Have banned them after a vote on a fans message board, we should do the same to get them banned! :) As I said before though I can see us selling them with "COME ON YOU REDS" on the side to create an atmosphere, afterall Fitton has said he wants a drum in the Townend to help the atmosphere so....

The bloke that does BBC radio in the morning ran a straw poll by text of wihich the resounding result was ban them. He says he'll present it to the club.

Problem is, I'd imagine only Brian from Larkhill would be the only person that bothered to text.
