Storm Dennis will be arriving in the Swindon area around 2pm on Saturday (just in time for Scunny game), with torrential rain and gusts up to 60mph.
Wouldn't it be nice to play a game that's not influenced by the wind!

Well, we know where we're goin' But we don't know where we've been And we know what we're knowin' But we can't say what we've seen And we're not little children And we know what we want And the future is certain Give us time to work it out

Yes indeed. Even tonight is going to be windy, with a wind chill of minus 3 (can't wait!)

Still, the windy season is due to finish by about the 26th April, oh last match of the season is the 25th April, ah well. Looks like we better get used to playing in windy conditions then!

The wind is quite often a factor at The (ie our) County Ground.
Exeter jibes aside, I have often been left wondering why we do not seem to take advantage of its quirks which so often seem to leave us as nonplussed as the opposition.
ie more distance shooting or alternatively using a swirl or headwind with crosses that tease the opposing keeper or punts forward that tease defenders and hold up for a second, oncoming attacker arriving at pace.

It became pretty much a fast flowing river on my street in a matter of mins. The only thing that stopped us flooding was that we live on a hill. Apparently parts of Scotland are going to get another dollop of snow (on top of ice) over night tonight. Not much your kilt and clan can do about that. Or even grit for that matter!

Yes, the rain and wind came heavy on Sunday. Monday the snow hit the Midlands quite heavy. Wasn't sustained but there was a good dollop in a short space of time.
