Lets not forget that there are two perfectly able players (Cox and Rooney) that could be in the squad if Paolo wasn't on his high horse. Also don't forget that these are two players he signed, that we paid transfer fees for and that we continue to pay wages to. Wonder if anyone has pointed out to Paolo that if he didn't piss away the clubs money on players he never plays and on others whose contracts had to be paid up, he'd actually still have some left for players he does want to play.
It's alright him blaming everything on the owners but how about taking some public responsibility for his own fuck ups?

Agree totally Jonny, he can't whine about not having enough players when there are two who could sit on the bench and potentially do a job if called upon.

I think the Rooney thing is so he doesn't get injured for the Pack deal...However in saying that Pack is going to be involved for Cheltenham tomorrow night, so As for Cox, I'd stick him on the bench just as a place filler.

Anyone buy one of those no. 10 DI CANIO shirts? If so, could be needed tomorrow night.

Do squad players get paid an 'appearance fee'?
Two less players in the squad = less money spent.

Most appearance fee's will be done on a sliding scale rather than per game, so 10, 20, 30, 40 is quite typical. Seeing that both Cox/Rooney haven't got close to that this season i can't see that being the resason, same for the yoofs.

Jonny 72....
Obviously, you have never been a manager or needed to manage competitive team of men.
Think what you are saying.
This guy has turned a club which was totally passionless to a team of winners.

I seem to remember that the players contracts were no highly paid up front salaries and that the bounce was made up with bonuses like, appearance, goals, wins etc. I do feel that there may be some mileage WRT to the afore mentioned in relation to Cox & L. Rooney. Also there is the angle that they could upset the harmony of the rest of the thread bare team also. You do have to take into account Paolo's long term team planning, training application, desire and tactical make up of each game. I think that both those two players may have been considered lightweight I. Relation to the opposition and playing conditions.

Swindon Town FC @Official_STFC It's back to The CG this weekend for the visit of Hartlepool United. Now let's pack the CG - Adult tickets are just £15! #COYR I'm hoping this is a subliminal message.
