Seconded or as they were called, a "Hydroboil". Cracking for businesses that like to crack the whip and ensure their staff can efficiently use a 10min break to rustle up all manner of powdered based soup or noodles (or a good old brew), without being able to complain about not having time to boil a kettle

Yes, both homemade (just a light covering of olive oil) and frozen (they work best on improving the oven cook chips)

Surely air fryers are good at cooking chips rather than making chips?

Well, no. You could describe the cooking process as the bit that actually makes a chip, whereas the preparation merely creates a cold sliced potato. Or, you could have a high end Air Fryer that gets the potatoes out and slices them up before neatly arranging them within itself. So there.

I'm amazed at how many people are sans microwave. How do you heat baked beans? Don't tell me you do them on the stove/hob.

Next you'll be telling me you do scrambled eggs in the microwave too. Ours mostly only gets used for defrosting bread. I have no use for a home phone. Been without one for years now.

Hardly, the hob would get all messy. In a small pan over a gas heat for a few minutes. Another thing that just came to mind that loads of people apart from me seem to have. One of those Alexa things. I'm sure they are very handy etc but just seems like unrequired flim flam to me.

Ah well, yes and no - for me. Its bloody useful for listening to things like the radio and spotify. Even the new "dots" are of adequet sound for a kitchen, bedroom and office. I've hooked one up to my very old amp for the living room too. Outside of that, once the novelty of being able to control your TV, light bulb or plug has worn off I have to say I don't use it for much beyond setting the heating, doing the odd imperial<-> metric conversion and the like and using it as a timer/alarm- even though I can fdo all that on my phone! I've got 5 dots

Literally never had a home phone starting from when I moved into my own place.
