The season hasn't even begun yet and already I can't be bothered. Sigh.

Meh - it's only a friendly Sam. Fear not.

I'm going, mainly wanted to see how Nalis and Casal get on.

It is a bit difficult to get motivated at the moment...we know more or less what we'll get.
Wee Macca causes mayhem, and without Cox little chance of scoring. Defence will look OK, until some lapse of concentration will allow some big fucker like Roger Johnson to head in a set play.  None of the midfielders will get in the box and a fair number of corners will be wasted due to poor delivery.

Despite it only being a friendly, the thought will occur, that this season might be a bit of a struggle, unless Barry Corr can get fit....Barry Corr wont get fit.

Reg, you say every season is going to be a struggle.

We finished 13th. Team is more or less the same, except we have cox, Timlin & macca all season. I'm not saying we're dead certs for promotion or anything, but come on!

I'm going - looking forward to it.

Hoping both trialists catch the eye, and also hope Joyce gets a decent crack.

Reg provides the balance. We all know that injuries to key players could result in dire consequences.

I've looked through the L1 teams and we're not the worst by far - what saddens me is that I get the impression that some, not all, teams seem happy to allow Leeds and Leicester battle it out and are happy for the rest will scrap it out.

I'm probably wrong.

I also really hope both Nalis and Kasal work out for us.

Joyce looked very encouraging at Chippenham on Saturday so hopefully he will show it again against far stronger opposition tonight.  I'm looking forward to it, reckon we will give Cardiff a good run for there money, we are a better side than last season so I am optimistic for the season.

That's because it usually is, even a couple back when we started under Wise and Poyet, on the back of BP money and there were reasons for optimism, it didn't take too long to go pear shaped.

OK we managed 3rd place, but I'd still say that season was a struggle.
