Completing tough Mudder in 2 and a half hours. A pb for me.

Thought it was a pretty average Tough Mudder at Ciren. Far too short (and narrow) a course, just got going and it was half way already. Some of the obstacles were average to say the least.  Saying that cry baby was good fun, and the birth canal was tougher than expected.

Thinking of signing up for Winchester just to feel the pain of the last mile again. Yesterday ended too soon.

So sad to think this may be it's last season. Surely a really, really rich person would want it as a toy. (Possibly the best toy in the world)

Said today over the tannoy that the only reason it has to stop flying is because technical support is being withdrawn so she will soon be prohibited from flying, ended up being a lovely sunny afternoon in Bournemouth and a great last South Coast display.

That's because it has now gone beyond the flying hours of any other Vulcan ever in the air so there is no data. Airframe fatigue and all that stuff.

What a shame. I'm sure that it must be good for another few years yet, it doesn't get hammered.

But then again, look at that Hunter yesterday. I bet the Vulcan gets grounded from airshows in the next week...

It's one of the longer courses but agree what you say. Try Henley. That's a good hard course.

no chance talk talk. the Vulcan doesn't do high g acrobatics. hasn't even done a barrel roll since the 50's Smiley it won't get grounded.

Real shame the DAs are withdrawing support. reckon it's got a season or two left. not much anyone can do, the CAA won't issue a permit to fly without da support, hence last season.

the expertise needed to keep it in the air means it isn't going anywhere else to fly, not that it would be sold anyway. fast taxi only next year.. Sad

Amazing how the septics are keeping the B-52 in active service until 2040 and possibly beyond, probably be the first aircraft with 100 years in the air.
