I wonder if we are still trailing that 13 year old (at the time) from the Cayman Islands (IIRC) that PdC made a real "song and dance over" at the time, must be 16 or 17 now?

I am sure there are some articles online somewhere about it.

Dunno, maybe you're more familiar with all the promising young prospects in the youth team, but to me I don't expect to necessarily have heard of all the young lads being pushed through to the fringes of the first team squad. Just pleased that they are. Seems to me this is a lad who's been brought in to develop, presumably is doing so if he's now pushing at the fringes of the first team squad and so all going to plan. Really don't see what the probem is.

If the club had made a massive song and dance when they signed him, or done a "One to watch" style feature in the programme last season and then he hadn't developed as hoped/expected, people would be complaining "What ever happened to that Aussie lad then?". Plus, not all young players deal with that kind of exposure well - some thrive on the recognition, others feel the pressure of expectation.

Agree, kids are best left to develop quietly.  You get the odd one like Henshall who makes into the England U 16, so is bound to attract attention, but hasn't really done his career any good.

That's a bit shit, hardly did anything, but retaliation is anyways treated more harshly. Thinking about it, retaliation is always treated more harshly in life, too. Why is that?

This is the type of thing that stfc should be communicating as a good news type of story and the article shows how poor stfc communication has got under Messr Power
that's the most ridiculous and tenuous attempt to criticise Power I've seen for a while, well done

I am pretty sure hes unattached to any club now and living back in Swindon.

Still only 22, needs to settle down and change his attitude a bit I think.
