Dick Mackey will ask for a raise if we signed Thorne.

As long as there are no fitness issues I'm sure he would do a top job for us.

I still look back at that header he scored at Old Trafford in the league cup...happy days, we outplayed Manure for about 10 minutes, and definately outsang them :-)
Sure he could do a job at league one level, assuming we go up, and would probably be a good parter for Corr, assuming we sign him...
Lots of ass's in there!

Not done/played much at Norwich so I think you're right saying the Championship clubs won't be after him. I'd like to see him back; give him a trial anyway.

i'd rather see what else is out there.
barry corr + stephen mcphee (for example) would be awesome in league 1 or 2, and combined wages wouldn't be much more than what thorne would want.

Think he's past his best now. He's managed just 15 games in two years at Norwich and could end up being more Thorpe than Thorne of old.
I've always liked the look of the other lad McVeigh they've released with him. Scored a peach at T'Burnley on loan earlier on in the season and still got a shelf life of a couple of years.
Doesn’t fit the Sturrock mould for a forward but I’ve seen him in midfield a few times causing merry hell. That said I’d wager he’ll be Chumpship bound on a fair old whack of cash.

I always thought Thorne was a disgrace the way he just jacked it in when he'd angled a move to the might of Stoke, just ambled around the park in his last dozen or so games, as we took a good few canings. He can fuck right off into retirement as far as I'm concerned.

Think he's past his best now Which is precicely why we might be in with a sniff He can fuck right off into retirement as far as I'm concerned. If he can get us 25 goals in a season before he does that I will be more than happy
