As a result you get the widest possible range of financial incomes. Especially in London. United only by their love of the game. You get the millionaires who have been driven to the ground in company cars from their office and you get 45 year old men from Dartford who work in a bookies three days a week and still live with their mums. Has to be said it is a sport watched 80% by men. And you do get a lot of oddballs.
