Ok, i know we have loads of midfielders, but i personally feel Swindon shoud try and have a stab at signing Paul Merson untill the end of the season (if the finances were alright). Whilst hes getting old in his age, i still think hes got something in the tank which will enable him to do a job for Town.
Hes the kind of player who can change a game, and his creativeness and passing ability will create chances. Against Donny, we lacked that kind of player who could unlock the defence.
Imnot saying he should be a first team starter, but he adds something diferent to the midfield. Maybe a super sub role ?
I doubt wewould get him anyway, but iffy should investiage the chances

Well after watching Donny, and listening to the highlights of yesterdays match, i still think Merson would be class for Swindon.
We have to many midfielders who are defensive minded. Gurney, Smith, Brown, Platt, Pook and Migs
Our only regular first team midfielder who is attack minded is Shakes.
Merson would have a similar influence to Mooney. His experience would help us climb the table. He would create chances that no other player in our team can do. What we miss is a decent playmaker who will create that one moment of magic.

Shakes has been class recently. he ran the show for large parts of the Walsall game.
Okay he has a lot to learn but it annoys me when people moan for moaning's sake
