Cooper not happy with conceding 2 and not scoring more. That's a good thing I think.

In a way the club is a victim of its own success. Developing young talent to International platforms has cost us IMO......

Can we still get into the autos? yes
Will we get in the autos? no I don't think we will

But we COULD do it, I did not expect that before the games today.

In reality, as our goal difference is so much poorer than Franchise and Preston, we still need both to drop more points, even if we beat Preston. But damn, I'm still keeping 25th April free...

Agreed international breaks cost us, but had they not been that international calibre we may not be where we are, if you see what I mean.

I'm more concerned that franchise might sneak that second place.  Angry

I said earlier I was 90% sure we wouldn't do it. Now I'm 75% sure. Its jittery Jim time for all concerned, no real pressure on us really, its theirs to lose.

Also just  said we might have been second if Gladwin had taken penalties all season!

Cooper:
- Not very happy to only win by 2 after being 4-0 up; could have been 10.
- Defended very well to begin with
- Look at positive, 3 points.
- Preston stumbling, need to keep going. Gives opportunities to get back at them.
- Would have bitten hand off if given current league position at start of season.
- Been bantering Gladwin about lack of goals, he replied well tonight, exciting prospect.
- Nathan would deal more comfortably than Jack at wide so Jack played sweeper.

Sheff Utd vs Chesterfield last game of the season.  Hopefully they'll go at each other.

Aside from the obvious anti-Franchise feeling, it may be a help to have them out of the way.

"fun" fact:

Walsall were a draw (instead of a win) away for the most boring record in the league

I feel more confident in beating Preston in the playoff final than Franchise, in which case I'd rather Franchise took 2nd place. Wishing franchise get auto promotion? I feel disgusted with myself. WHY does football torture me so?
