Does anyone have experience with any of these phones? I am looking to change to one of these from my HTC. I want a pretty decent battery life, quick response and ease of texting.
Any pros or cons please let me know?
Ta.

That's an option, but I have to admit I've never heard of them.

I've got a Nokia Lumia 700 - which I think is what you where referring too. Got 4 out of 5 stars where the Galaxy S2 got 5. I was advised away from the Y/Ace/Mini and onto the S2 or Lumia.
Good phone, plenty of apps - not as many as S2 or Iphone but increasing- especially with the bigger apps -depends if you want to use it for that. Can hook it up to hotmail and dump pictures using sky drive. Easy interface, download Microsoft Zunes - which is similare to that of Itunes but not as good. Relatively quick and easy to use. Have dropped in a few times and it seems more robust thatn other fragile phones. Slightly smaller than s2.
Hope this helps.

The Lumia 900 should be out over here soon, already out in the US.
I quite like the Lumia's, would get one if it wasn't for the iPhone.

Couldn't convince myself to own a Windows phone out of an unfounded prejudice. I bet the OS is polished but are the apps there in the same way they are for Android/Apple?

I don't really need / use a lot of apps, as long as it has maps, gps and a sat nav type thing that'll do for me. I usually use my phone to text, make calls and browse the web etc.

The sat nav on it is excellent - so is the maps.

Resurrecting this rather than starting a new thread....
I want a smart phone on contract, but don't want to pay a lot as I cant take a phone into work. So, all I want to do is: - text and make calls - check emails - sort out cricket teams using Teamer (Android app coming out in 4Q12) - check the TEF! - Facebook - Check the Town official site - Keep upto date on news - Listen to the odd mp3 when I have to go on long bus journeys
I don't get all this app thing as I don't know whats out there or where to look for it!
I can't justify £500 for an iphone and don't want something like the Samsung Galaxy S3 as I want the phone to fit in my trouser pocket!
Have been looking at a Samsung Galaxy Ace - I have always had Samsung phones - Apart from my work phone which is a Blackberry Curve, with everything useful disabled! But have been thinking of a Huawei Ascend. However, number 2 son has just got a Huawei Blaze free with his £7.50 Tesco contract.
So, my quandary is:
1. Is the Samsung worth me paying £150 extra than a free Huawei Blaze? 2. Is it worth me paying £100 extra for an Ascend over a Blaze? 3. Is the Ascend worth £50 over the Blaze?
Help me oh wise and wonderful people!
