Sunderland fans I met were brilliant !  After the game a large group of Sunderland fans came running up to me and my mates, we thought we were gonna get pasted, but they just said 'why are you lot so quiet, you should be rocking, you totally outplayed us and deserved it' !!  Must admit I was gobsmacked at not getting smacked in the gob ! Always remembered that, and have a fond regard for Sunderland.

I’m also quite fond of them but as Chalky said there’s always going to be a few idiots out of 30k. Now Millwall in 2010 was completely different animals everywhere.

I can't stand them or their shitty club.

Why don't you knock it off with them negative waves? Why don't you dig how beautiful it is out here? Why don't you say something righteous and hopeful for a change?

Travelled up to the play-off final on the coach along with Richie Howe (who later became my brother-in-law) and a couple of other Sunderland supporting Wildcats ice hockey players - strangely, they didn’t join us on the way back 🤣🤣🤣

It was but I missed the goal when I went for a Waz🤣

What I remember most about that day was two things. 1) An absolute cockwomble/jizzhankie/xenophobic Leftie cunt (yes they exist) spilling vile diatribe towards that Argie dog shagging Ozzie Ardiles. In all fairness a few of his mates tried unsuccessfully to shut him up on the tube from Rayners Lane to Wembley Park. 2) The underlying feeling that we were going to be punished for the Brown paper bag payments and the extra straw for pitch protection etc, that inevitably saw us made a scape goat for what was widespread financial shenanigans in the world of football before the widespread reach of electronic accountancy and easily traced ‘paper trail’. And so it came to pass we were kicked down the stairs on our way to being a powerhouse in the footballl world. The rest as they say is history.

I drove up  Doh 5 of us in a Renault 5 Gordini. Stopped on hanger Lane for an off licence,  parked in a hotel for a fiver.

The academy coaches called this at the start of the season. There's a definite glut of talent in the u18s at the moment, and the goes through to the u14s level. Great achievement for the U18S lot, hopefully a few from that lot go on to have professional careers.

Are they all the same year group?

Are they all U18s or is there a mix of U17s & U16s in there.

Be good to get them some involvement in the first team, dare I say it. If/when we are ruled out of leaving this division from either end and results aren’t important.

The ones I spoke to in the car park after said the vey same, complete 1-0 hammering!! They were alright, not that the current fan base necessarily is. Well done ‘Young Uns’ 👏👏👏
Fabulous result tonight.... Re. 1990, that was my experience as well. Sunderland fans who I ran into were exemplary and far more gracious in defeat than I could have been...

Nah, just beer deprivation.
A situation that won't be greatly improved by an early exit from the pub today. Angry
