Haha, what a cunt.

I think he's a bit like one of those horrible players on the opposition team that everyone hates (like Christian Roberts), yet when he plays for you everyone loves him. (Assuming in Paolo's case you can get over the fact his house is full of nazi war memorabilia and a life size replica of Hitler.)

I couldn't stop looking at his arm pit.

I was mesmerised by that sweat patch. I'm sure it got bigger as the programme went on.

I'm not really a PDC fan but I'd fucking love him to get an invite onto Just a Minute, that would be amazing.

Surely you haven't forgotten his post match interviews.

One Saturday he started his interview as we passed the Police HQ, and by the time he had finished answering his first question we had almost reached Oxf**d

He is a loon, but he was our loon and while it lasted it was ace.

Very much what this man said.

He almost bankrupted us and caused a lot of heartache and we'd be in the Championship if he had've stayed for a month longer. But he injected life back into the club and did great things for us and our youngsters. He's made all our young players that were with him grow up.

But yeah, he's a mental.

Except for the ones that he bombed out or alienated because of a personal spat with the head of youth. All about him, always was.

Just what we needed at the time after Wilson and Hart......but ego too big for a big job...

Still the same ideas of grandeur then!

I love it when the interviewer says: "I'm sure you're more critical of yourself than anyone else. How was it at Sunderland?"
"...None of the players that came in were my choices…" Still in denial then.

But we knew that and at the time went along with it beleiving it was for the greater good, but of course hindsight, but that was then this is now

Speak for yourself.

Yea ok maybe the wrong term of phrase 'greater good' but still it was went along with as he was winning, if it was a different manager that wasnt so popular everyone would have kicked off (and rightly so)

As there isn't much love left for Paolo Di Canio around here (and of course never was any in many cases) I don't suppose anyone has a copy of the title-winning season DVD that they want to see the back of? I'd happily buy it.

Worth a try anyway…
