Listening to MM interview he was blaming the press for putting out negative messages and telling them ti was down to them to put out some positive messages to the fan's - errr sorry but if you are not winning or you concede 3 from being 3 up then what positives can be taken - win a few games and get some consistency in the team and all the negativity will dissapear with everyone backing a winning team and a manager that has proved he can turn it around.

Postives to be taken from Hartlepool

* Cox getting a hat trick
* Transforming the team from the shambles v Millwall to being 3-0 up after 52 mins away
* Looking in control until PS' error gave Hpl a life line

I agree with MM, we possibly do need a bit of help from the Adver to try and focus on the positives get the good vibes back at the CG.  Doom and gloom just breeds stress and unhappiness, as Graham Taylor said "if my players had a face like yours (Rob) they'd be out the door, now put a smile on your face...".

We are not a the doomsday scenario that some would lead us to believe we are, it's so early in the season, yeah we're looking ropey at the back but that can be fixed.  The team's away form should be enough for the fans to give them a little slack when it comes to home matches, but at the minute it seems I'm in the minority on that point.

Unbeaten away since 16 Aug - that's quite impressive!

We really should go all out to win this now,  I see Carlisle, MK Dongs, Peterbro and Huddersfield all went out to L2 opposition last night

Went last night and enjoyed the second half after the tit ref decided not to blow the whistle every two seconds which was spoiling the game for both sets of fans.
Maybe Malpas has finally discovered what we already knew........Peacock is better in midfield than up front..........
After we went through on dreaded pens against the Shots i had a belief that we would do well in this cup and after last night i really feel that this could be our year........lets hope for an away draw on Saturday!!!!

I agree with Colin. The only team left in that I'd be worried about is Leeds. But there's no one in the Southern Section that we can't beat.

In his post match interview he said he still sees him as a striker.

To be honest what Malpas has said to the media and what he has then done have not been too similar this season so far.

Yeah second that, in this day and age, a nice gesture from the boys. They both seem to do well with engaging with the fanbase and local populace. Long may it continue.

Who was Dylan?  I'm assuming it was a young lad.  Nice touch by the lads.

He was a six year old boy who had a brain tumour/cancer and recently passed away tragically.

it was indeed a nice touch by the lads.
