Latest from Douglas on twitter: "Still unclear about everything but hopefully it will be sorted soon..." not sure I like the sound of that.

Given that meetings today were supposed to be about seeing what the players were thinking in terms of next year, I wasn't expecting anything to be put on the table for anyone. They'll have wanted to chat to him about how he feels about League Two and Swindon, then they'll factor that into any decision they make. I wouldn't read too much into the fact Wray hasn't instantly extended the cnotract.

But equally they have to think of the L2 wage cap and the higher earners and how they fit into that structure and I'm sure Dougie is one of them

Does anyone know how the wage cap operates ?  - is it based on this season ?, in which case it shouldn't be a problem, or if on projected next season, how anyone can be expected to get that right anyway ?

We'll have shipped out quite a lot in wages already, I'd imagine

I understand it to be based on the previous seasons earnings. not sure what our tunrover was but I would guess 60% of it is fairly high for the division we are going into.

Ours has to be higher than pretty much all the other teams in L2 I would have thought so we may have a little more leverage on wages than others in the same league.

And as you say the wages will already be much lower than this season as a lot of high earners will leave or have left...Dossevi, O'Brien and Sheehan etc.
