He was a distinctly average footballer. He was a useless captain who was injured more than he played. And he's still bitter about this more than 2 years after he left. Says it all really.

Reading various tweets it seems the player-fan bond has strangely improved of late. Douglas in particular has realised that if you engage with the fans you get a positive response.
Though part of me does wonder if this is just a bit of PR before he leaves - surely we can't afford to keep him in League 2.

I think the player/fan bond at STFC hit an all time low while Aljofree was captain. Apart from the stupid Rose episodes it hasnt been too bad this season. |

I still remember Stockport away, i was there with about 20 lads on my stag, many of which don't like football and had never been to a game before - Aljofree offering a whole terrace out was a bit of an eyeopener for them! |
