Got to say I thought it was a decent game, result apart.  We tended to go for the glory pass instead of the simple one.  Disappointing to see Benyon go off, cos it let Dossevi into the game and his contribution . . . one easy chance spurned, one offside and a pass from the half way line to set up their goal and then he's gone.  Waste of good oxygen!  Too many players running around like headless chickens in the second half when a bit of quality was required.  Eek

I thought that he would put Ritchie up front.

DW seemed to like that a couple of weeks ago and IIRC, Ritchie even got a goal or two.

Think he tried to match them in midfield BR.

In what universe would that be a good tactic when losing at home?

The one where we had two strikers go off injured and had a choice of match them in midfield or playing a youngster with 8 minutes professional football under his belt who isnt even striker but everyone thinks he is upfront.

But we were matching them already ffs mcgovern and ritchie were doing fine where they were they were our most dangerous outlets he changed the whole midfield system around for the sake of one striker. I agree about bodin he isn;t our saviour but why put him on the bench at all if you have no confidence in him

Despite having Ritchie, whom DW thought it was a good idea to play as a striker previously still on the field?

The same Ritchie who even got a goal or two in that position?

I thought we looked more dangerous when Prutton came on.

No idea what formation we were playing mind.

We upped the tempo and were hammering in crosses. No fucking strikers to get on the end of them though.

First half I thought we were largely plod plod with the odd chance. 50 pence head Cuthbert missing the target with 2. I'm probably wrong but I can't remember the keeper making a save fist half.

Of wait, he made a good save actually.
