When the other half is drunk with questions like can we go to bed soon at 8:30pm.
Especially worse when you're at 0% alcohol at 8:30pm. I'm surprised I've survived this long 😐
Just say yes, give her a good rodgering (if that's what she wants) and let her sleep. You have the rest of the night to yourself then. Sorted, Fam.

I went though a few years of this. My wife would be tired by 8.30/9.00 most days so we'd be in bed quite early. I would just end up messing about on my phone or iPad for an hour or two. it got to the point where i just told her to go up and i'd follower her up in a few minutes knowing very well the minute her head hit the pillow she was out.

Pretty much the strategy I deploy

Plusnet fibreoptic speed has been utter shit for months, so in January an engineer came out, reset a jobber (probably the technical term?) and the speed went up! Got an email from them today telling me that "there was no fault and suck it dickface, give us £65"*.
I've replied calmly, but am expecting a very fruitless fight against them. Sigh

Medications with side effects that seem worse than the thing you're bloody taking them for.

Whilst looking at google maps it switched to Russian text for a second or so, then back to English. They're in.

Despite being owning by those cunts, plusnet has been really good for me and I've fucking raped it on occasion. Zero throttling and no restrictions. It's always been about 70/16 or so.
Does sound cunty to charge for an engineers visit though.

In the days when 512kbps was a fast connection, plusnet went really downhill for me so I decided to leave. Upon phoning for the MAC number they got really shitty with me which was the complete opposite to previous experiences. I guess they had a bad few months that year.

Had trouble-free broadband service from Plusnet for about 10 years until I moved home to a place that had it pre-installed in the build. Plusnet was no trouble at all when I told them why I was leaving and that I wanted to just keep my email account with them.

I was stupid enough to fall for one about a local chip shop shutting this morning. I particularly despise the fake pregnancy ones. Unfunny and insensitive to a lot of people.

The Adver one about SBC's company doing something about developing a bit of the old Works was a decent effort.
