i have noticed that the new season kicks off a week later than usual this coming season.any particular reason why this is?

So Pook and Nicho can have the extra Friday night on the piss.
A very good question though, there are no internationals or anything are there?
So won't we be starting the same weekend as the premiership.

The season always used to start on the second saturday of August.

It started earlier a few seasons ago because of the World Cup and they kept that up last season.

I remember it starting around the 19th/20th August.  I know that back in the day it didn't start until September.
