We haven't had many sub 200 away attendances in the past 10 years.

09/10 - Exeter JPT 189 (a week after the league game)
08/09 - Brighton JPT 141 (Malpas' final game in charge, a few days after the infamous Histon defeat, still more turned out for it than they did tonight)
08/09 - Hartlepool 139 (On a night, Malpas)
07/08 - Tranmere 160 (night, nothing to play for)
07/08 - Oldham 152 (night, nothing to play for)
05/06 - Hartlepool 164
05/06 - Peterborough JPT 112
05/06 - Boston FA Cup replay 181
04/05 - Exeter JPT (no figure but was probably under 200)
03/04 - Tranmere 159 (night)
03/04 - Boston JPT 145
03/04 - Southend LGE Cup 199

Only one lower away attendance out of all those awful fixtures, and it was a JPT game. No idea when the last sub 127 league away attendance was, but that puts into context how poor it is.

I didn't make last night as I couldn't get out of the NEC on time.

But...I was at Malpas last game at Brighton.....fucking woeful.

That Exeter JPT 04/05 game I witnessed one of the best town goals I've ever seen.

25 yard screamer by none other than Andy Nicholas

I went to that Hartlepool game a few years back, I think they gave us a £5 club shop voucher or something like that.

Not in the last 10 years I know but I think we had about 92 at Blackburn for a Simod Cup game at Blackburn in '87. I know because I counted them  Yes

so as en famille trudged out of the GC after stuffing Thor's hammer up his arse the wise father said, "Sheffield Utd will the last game we see this season as i can't see us winning every game to qualify for the play off's". Hhhmmm, may have to revise my plans to do the garden later rather than sooner if we win on Saturday. If Posh win the QD trophy as they should they ought to use that as a platform to secure 6th place. We have to much to do, or do we?

As good as it is to finally get a few wins under our belt, I really wish people would stop mentioning the P word. IF we win our next 2, then we still have an outside chance, but realistically it's just not gonna happen. And the fact we are even in with a shout after how poor we've been since the turn of the year is a pretty damning indication of how poor the league is.

I thought we were out of the race a long time ago, and my mind won't change unless we go on a mental winning run.

I'm just relieved that it looks like we won't get dragged into the relegation mix, it was starting to seem possible a few games ago!

Just shows, though, that if during those dozen or so games when we were absolute dog shite, if we had only been averagely dog shite we'd probably be 6th now.

Anyhoo the game against the Blades will sort it out one way or another so not long to wait to find out

Yeah and if we won every game we'd already be promoted!

We're in a nice healthy, safe position.

If the money was there then I'm sure we'd bring in a couple of players to enhance the push but we're giving players like Connor Waldon a chance instead.

Let's see what happens and stay above Bristol City.

They did indeed, first time I'd been to a ground that was so windy that it blew some lasses tray of chips out of her hands

You're learning...

One thing I'd take a bit of issue with however, I don't think the league is particularly much poorer than most years....our visitors on Sat are in the FA Cup semi final having ditched  something like 3 Prem clubs....

I went to the 3-3 in Hartlepool. Two hattricks, 3-0 up, sigh. I got two signed Simon Cox footballs as a result of that.

The 0-3 at Carlisle United resulted in a hat and letter of appreciation.

Either way I was a fraudulent fan as I'd only travelled from Newcastle for both.

Don't matter what team Macca puts out, as long as the attitude is right and we play attacking football and put them under pressure. We sit back and try and pinch a result, that is were we come unstuck.
Swindle aren't that good.

We need two wins this week if we are going to beat the drop.
