Fair point, I think our expectation level last August was far too high (mine incluided), truth is we have been mightily disappointing in all but a handful of matches - easy to fall out of love on that basis.

one reason: Malpas. Clueless, devoid of passion, the least inspiring manager we've had in recent years.

I like Wilson and I'm more excited by next season than I was this one.
