The comments to that story are, for once, quite sensible.  Wilson could never top what he achieved at Barnsley first time around.  Sounds as if Robins will be getting the job anyway.

Phrases like "Wilson remains tightlipped" and "won't rule a move out" all seems to be silly season stuff. Managers rarely, if ever, give shermanesque 'no never' answers to these types of questions. I'm not worried (yet)

In a way, I'm not too worried. Even if he did go, I'd imagine we are quite an attractive proposition for an out of work manager, or a manager at another club.

We're being run in a professional way, and are bringing in players when other teams are not able to.

FFS. For once I'm genuinely pleased with our manager and now the rumours have started of him leaving Sad

if he goes i wont really care.we'd get compo for him, and there are plenty of bosses with simliar credentials available.
would prefer him to stay to see if he can build something here though.

If he went I'd be very worried.

But nothing to stress over yet...

I don't think we'd be able to attract a manager better than Danny Wilson to be honest. He

I can't see Barnsley wanting him back to be honest, yep ok he may have been their most successful (sp?)  manager but he hasn't exatly ripped up any tree's since he left them, so he has not really proved himself either way since he left, I'd class him as a jouneyman manager who goes into clubs has a bit of success and then it all fades, but with a little support and a little money like he is getting now he may disprove that myth and have a really successful stint with us and go on to be a top manager.

But Barnsley are talking to Mark Robbins now anyway so I suspect he is their No 1 target.

Hmmmm, I think he'll go - purely because this is Swindon and just when it looks like the manager has started building a decent team he fucks off ala Wise and Sturrock.

I know, I know different board and all that.

Dont see going to Barnsley as a step up either to be honest.

Robins has gone on "gardening leave" so it looks like a done deal with Rotherham.

Wouldn't be the end of the world to lose Wilson but I'm happy enough with how he's doing and slowly coming round to him.

Although Robins looks odds on to be new manager at the Tykes......they are apparently on the lookout for a Director of Football and Kidd and Wilson have both been touted as possible fillers of this vacancy.

I truly hope not though as I think DW will do well for us.
