Can’t really see us signing Will Grigg (would be amazing for that song alone) but I would imagine Jewell still has links with Wigan too so some loose connection there so maybe it could happen...

If you want to talk about something other than transfer rumours then open your own fucking thread.

That rumour account has now retweeted his Grigg tweet from yesterday, with a couple of winks.
We’ll see

Rumours account saying Grigg tomorrow.
More rumours saying Sunderland trying to land Boyce from Burton Albion so perhaps they need Grigg gone first. Who knows. I'm sceptical as that account has been consistently wrong recently, or has re-hashed other sources information.

Right then. I know very little about this a Grigg geezer. I know his name but not much more. So, assuming the rumours are true, Grigg or Doyle?

Doyle all day for me, just because we know he works in our set up and I just fucking love the ginger bastard. Celebrated every goal like he was a fan.
Grigg though... younger, arguably performed better at a higher level, hasn't done much recently, has a shite song, will be greatly hyped. On paper a great signing for League Two and definitely knows where the goal is.

Dunno what's gone wrong at Sunderland but like Doyle he scores for fun in this team, and division.

What little I have seen of Grigg, I'd snap anyones hand off offering him to us. The only worry would be whether he just had a hot streak, but he looked better than that.
Doyle can slot straight back in, even if we didn't get him now, he's be good for next season.
If we get both we'd have no excuses for not finishing in the top three, of League One..........OK, maybe getting a tad carried away, but this is much more fun than hoping Norris may figure out how to place a football in the general direction of the goal without falling over and using his backside while facing in the wrong direction (impressive though that was).

Four 20-goal seasons at L1 level would suggest it's not a hot streak. Grigg, on paper, is a fucking unbelievable signing. We only get him because we're top and because we've revitalized Doyle.
