Like Tommy Mooney?

Thanks Lucien for the first non-prick reply.

Didn't Mooney waste a year of his career at Oxford?

No he ended his career with us, he did some volunteering with some very 'special people'

What LS says. I though the looked decent on the few occasions he played. Obviously a falling out with di canio behind the scenes

Really, I find that hard to believe...

Got me thinking now Rooney has been welcomed back maybe Cox will at the end of the season as well. Didn't really see enough of him to make a judgement so would like to see him a bit more

I raised this point a couple of weeks back, he has been in good form for both Pox and Plymuff this season, muff fans saying they would love to try and sign him at the end of the season.

This must have been spoken about but if say the embargo does not get lifted yet say Cheltenham go up automatically then surely Benson, Caddis and Cox can return to us should we end up in the playoffs?

Granted the Caddis one proves more tricky as we have Rooney

A few quotes from the Pasoti forum about Lee Cox, all of these in the last 3 weeks....

Quote
Cox 7 - another unfussy performance - what we needed

There can't be many or any better CMs in this league than Lee Cox. In every game I've seen him play for us, he's had the better of the opposing midfield and he can certainly play a bit too. Sublime player and he's what we've needed all season. He could be the most important signing we make this Summer.

I'd take Cox in a heartbeat.

Cox. 3rd MOM in a row for me. What a signing.

Coxworked so hard breaking up play and using the ball intelligently.

MoM - Cox again for me. No nonsense, nothing flashy, but hugely effective.

I'd hate for us to miss out on singing someone like Lee Cox.

Cox is out most talented player.

If we stay up we must keep Lee Cox.

Very pleased with Cox, if all works out and we stay up I would like to see him here permanently next season.

Cox got my vote for MOM ran it for us today.

Cox was absolutely phenomenal today.

Cox - 9/10 - Typically solid game from him today. Strong in the tackle, industrious and always looking to win the ball back.

Cox was immense today.

I think Cox will be back here next year, imagine he's just the sort of player the new boss would want.

he signed a 2 and a half year deal i think.

And from what I have seen there is not a big gulf in standard between this division and the one below.

Like the much maligned Alan Navarro, I think we saw some glimpses of quality when he first joined, and while injury has hampered Navarro, Di Canio hampered Cox. So it surprises me when I see negative comments about players who've hardly had a chance to show what they can do (I cannot recall exact posts, but I definitely recall seeing comments to the like of "he's shit, get rid"). Cox still has a lot to prove here, not his fault he didn't get the opportunity.

Well it might be, who knows. Either way your point stands.
