Luongo has been much better at tackling this season. He's much stronger and is riding a lot of challenges that he would have lost possession from last year.

Agree with this. I was going to post about how I thought he had improved on that attribute but you've saved me having to do it! He seems stronger, more skillful, well just better this season!

Why isn't Iraq v Japan on Eurosport at 9.00am today?

Their coverage IS a bit erratic.  They seem to like tennis a lot.  Having to make do with the live stream.

Edit:  Having said that, the usual streams don't seem to be working for me today - without having to download adware-laden software.  So f**k that!

Eurosport now seem to have ditched the Asian Cup for the Coupe d'Afrique des Nations....seems to be comprehensive coverage of events in Upper Volta.

They are showing semis and final though.

I think they are likely to qualify from their group they face palestine next who have conceded 9 goals in 2 games so far and with 3 points already, they will face UAE or Iran next next in the quarters

Best hope is to have him and (perhaps less likely) Mass back for the Sheff U game on 31/1.

Japan should beat Jordan, and should Iraq beat Palestine then Japan and Iraq will go through.

Hopefully there's an Iraq-Iran derby day, if there's such a thing.

I'm inclined to think that the whole experience especially for Mass, is going to be a bit of a head fuck on returning from an Oz summer to an English winter....so it may be Cooper will have to use them carefully.

This is a good point. Yas must've struggled with playing in the snow in Walsall only to fly out to Australia for friendlies!

I guess we can afford to rest them on the bench for a couple of games, as long as we keep winning!

I cannot and will not support Australia in anything sports related.

Smiley

I mostly agree, but it would be a tricky one if they played scotland
