Evening TEF
I have started a new business delivering desserts to the good people of Swindon (shameless plug!) and use a piece of software for the back end of the website. I was wondering if anyone had an experience of Magento, as I'm trying to create various offers to include 'meal deals' and '3 for 2' offers.
I've tried their support, but to be honest its crap. Anyone know how to use it?

i used Magento in the past - its not the most intuitive system to use but is good if you have a large volume of affiliated products your selling through drop ship because it can be automated with plug ins - if you have a relatively small number of product then I would recommend something like Shopify simple to set up, has great customer support and can be customised.

I've never used it but looked in to it a few years ago. Didn't like it as it was very resource hungry and was more of an enterprise product not suited to a small business. Plus eBay own it now which put me off even more.
Looks like the support on their website isn't too bad, if you can't find anything try their forums which seem pretty active.
Though if you're not already balls deep in Magento, I'd suggest having a look at some other options.

Hardly a shameless plug if you don't tell us the name of your business

Unless Shameless Plug IS the name of his business. Which would be an odd name for a dessert.

If you're selling just desserts, and the name is anything other than Just Desserts, then you're on to a loser straight away.
