From a Rovrum fan -

latest on Jerry Yates from local sources is that he isn't being recalled as things stand.

We have recalled Josh Kayode instead.
Warne wants to see him in training with the first team, after an impressive spell at Gateshead.
Also...

Quote
Bristol City winger Hakeeb Adelakun is in Rotherham tonight as he gets set to join the League One club on loan.

From today.

Another wide forward going in on loan negating the need to recall Yates I would think.

The Total Sport quotes today have Richie saying no new signings likely before the weekend.
More Wellens’ deflection tactics?

From Ryan Lowe.

Also from Plymouth fans.

Sounds like the sort of thing Wellens said before we signed Doyle!

Just been told by a Rotherham supporting mate that they have recalled Yates. He says the guy he heard it from is not always legitimate but seems adamant  No

Been told by a mate who works at the club that Yates is staying till the end of the season, I hope its true.

On the transfer rumours front...John Akinde being touted by both Plymouth and Salford as he doesn't fit in with Appletons style at Lincoln. They have signed Tyreece John-Jules on loan from Arsenal already to replace him.

I have never really rated him but he has a few goals to his name, albeit a fair few penalties. Not a bad target man but not a goal poacher as such.

I hope that's the case. We can't afford to lose both of them with Crewe on the horizon.
Just got back from being away with work so coming up for the Crewe game. Just hope we do ourselves proud and unlike at the Alex earlier.

I reckon Bennett is on his way. Rovers are desperate to get him off the wage bill - along with Nichols. He’s still got 18 months o go on his contract.

I can see him having his contract cancelled and getting a pay off - a la Dave and McGlashan. Would fit the bill for a ‘goalscoring midfielder’ Wellens said he was after.

Were they not looking last time at Bennett but said it depended on outgoings (namely McGlashan and  Diagouraga which did not happen) last summer. I thought this was when we are paying for Doyle too?

On the assumption that Bradford want to sell him..... which may, or not be the case. As for McGlashan and Diagouraga, they both left by mutual consent, which probably means their contracts were paid up (or a large part of it at least) so there won't be much extra from that.

Wellens said on Saturday pre game that Toums and JMcg both had their contracts settled for a fair bit less than the value of it saving us a fair amount of wages, which both players abd the club were very happy with the settlement.

I would think we have saved at least 25% if not 50% of each players wages at least.
