both.and all our players totally won their individual battles with ease.macnamee was the pick of the bunch and was a bag of tricks

They were awful, I don't really think we got out of second gear, especially in the second half.  Good goals scored but some woeful defending by Vale, they could well do an Oxford next season unless they improve dramatically.

We played well, but Port Vale were terrible. Under Sturrock it wouldn't have been as comfortable IMO. We looked like scoring every time we went forward, and pretty much every player put in the effort. McNamee was different gravy, some of the tricks he did were unbelievable.
