Where did the dave rumour come from? The yellows forum doesn't seem to have gotten wind of it yet.

So it's just an unsubstantiated rumour, then?
I thought it had been reported somewhere the way it was mentioned.

He would probably be a decent signing for a club looking to just survive and avoid relegation in L1
How many fans will turn up at the CG offering him a lift, or will stfc fans go to Luton to ensure Hylton gets here to sign uninjured

Blimey. Sounds like they’re taking McGlashan too in a BOGOF.

If Carlsberg (rather than tansmedia) came up with rumours....

Jamie McDevitt out of favour at Blackpool already with new boss and a possible loan for this season!

I still dont know if I want him here, especially not if it means striker budget is used BUT Bennett mom in multiple pre-season games and 1st league game of the season was dropped today for rovers and played last 5 mins as sub. must be something going on somewhere

It was announced on BBC West local news yesterday that Rovers are losing £250k each month. Maybe that’s part of the ‘something going on’? Bit of an issue if you’re looking for new owners and a new ground (centre of Brizzle the latest plan).

I’m sure other people have cottoned on to this already, but we need to sign 3-4 bodies with at least a season or twos worth of experience. Bench looked very weak today

It did. And Wellens mentioned this himself after the game. I would not be surprised to see Bennet and/or Devitt arriving.

I don't pretend to know what Power is thinking, but after today's performance, I hope that he will see that it is worth pushing his budget a little more for that striker. If it was my money, I'd be thinking that the investment/spend I have made so far might be wasted if it were not for that final piece of the puzzle.

The only thing that will stop us getting promotion is a lack of depth in certain areas. The first XI are very good, but lose Yates, either of the CBs or Liden and their replacements are a step down.
Always thought Broadbent would be a great CB back up but something is obviously not right there.
DJ is out for 2-3 months so we now need 2 strikers. Midfield will be OK once Rose and McGilp get fit.
Be a shame if we pass up this opportunity.

There are some early indicators of a decent season ahead, but atm no more than that. Taking each game as it comes, means ColU in the LC in the week.... looked a shite draw when it came out of the shopping trolley, but now even worse, with the big game at Sid James's Park to come at the weekend. How does Wellens go about it, rest players or go for the win to keep the feel good going?
